My Heart Hurts

Whenever there’s stress, anxiety, any high-level emotion: the heart feels it first. It beats faster and faster, until you can no longer feel it. Until it just hurts. It’s heavy, it feels like there’s something in there— pulling down, causing it to rip and tear. And finally, all you’re left with is a throbbing pain.

‘Comics for a Cause’ (CFAC) is a specialized focused club- from Central Peel Secondary School- which aims to raise awareness about mental health and related topics through published artwork and community events. CFAC is volunteer work for the students involved and is above and beyond their regular schoolwork and is led by Teacher Lori Russell.
