NEW YORK – Safe Horizon, the nation’s largest victim services agency, announces the appointment of Lauren Hunter-Dyson as its new Chief People Experience Officer.  

Hunter-Dyson, a transformational executive and nationally recognized leader in People Experience, organizational strategy, and systems change, holds nearly two decades of cross-sector experience spanning Fortune 500 companies, large nonprofits, and government agencies.  She is known for driving human capital innovation, embedding equitable practices into operational frameworks, and advancing anti-racism practice and strategies across every level of the workplace. 

Prior to her current role, Hunter-Dyson served as Chief of People, Diversity, and Campus Operations at the New England Aquarium where she unified people operations, DEIB strategy, and campus-wide logistics to reshape the organization’s culture and increase employee engagement. She also served as the strategic people and diversity lead at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where she advanced equitable hiring practices, inclusive workforce planning, and cross-agency collaboration.

Hunter-Dyson has been recognized with the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award and the Boston HR Council’s Commitment Award. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from Cambridge College, a Bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales University, and completed legal coursework at the Massachusetts School of Law. She is also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and Cultural Intelligence (CQ) Facilitator.
